What To Expect In A DOT Session

In a standard DOT Therapy Session, first you will have topical anesthetic applied which takes approximately 45 minutes to take effect. Following this you will lay down in a comfortable position and Dr. Kiren will begin applying the laser to your desired area as per what was discussed during your consultation prior - so the settings are personalised to match your exact skin type. You may feel the warmth of the laser during the session, we recommend having ice packs ready as once the anesthetic wears off, you may feel a burning-like sensation. Following the session you may experience mild swelling, redness and itchiness for up to 5 days. We recommend ensuring your schedule is clear during this time so you can rest and recover.
